Troop Cookie Coordinators should plan on attending a Troop Cookie Chat for the latest information and training on the upcoming 2025 Cookie Program. Troops that would like to receive the Troop Initial Order Bonus must attend at least one Initial Order and Family Meeting Cookie Chat.

Mega Shortages – Troops should email their nearest cupboard to arrange a date and time to pick-up what they are missing by Thursday, February 6, 2025. Include “Mega Shortage”, Service Unit and Troop #” in the subject line and what they were missing (variety and # of cases) in the body of the email.
Mega Overages – Troops should do one of the following by Thursday, February 6, 2025 if they picked up more cookies than they ordered at the mega:

If your troop wants to keep the extra cookies: email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org, put “Mega Overage” in the subject line and the variety and # of extra cases received. Council will make the transfer in ABC Smart Cookies.

If your troop wants to return the extra cookies: email your nearest cupboard, put “Mega Overage” in the subject line and the variety and # of extra cases received. The Cupboard Manager will arrange a date and time for the cookies to be dropped off.

Please note: The “preferred” date and timeframe you choose when placing your planned order are not guaranteed. Wait for a confirmation from the cupboard manager that will include the confirmed date and time to pick-up your troop’s order.
Planned Orders (Troop Plan Book pages 21-24)
Please note: Do NOT change a planned order after it has been entered into ABC Smart Cookies. The Cupboard Managers will never see the changes and will only hand out the product that is listed on the confirmation you received from the Cupboard. Place a new planned order if you need additional cookies. The cupboard managers will combine the orders, when possible, to eliminate an extra pickup for your TCC. If you need less, let the Cupboard Manager know by replying to the cupboard confirmation.

Ensure your Troop Cookie Coordinator’s information is listed on the Troop Information page in ABC Smart Cookies. This information is used to send order pick-up confirmations by the Cookie Cupboard Managers.

Troops cannot pick-up their planned orders until they receive a confirmation email from a Cookie Cupboard. Confirmations from the Cookie Cupboards will be sent within 24-48 hours of your pickup time.

Please remind Girl Scout Parent/Caregivers that they must go through you, the Troop Cookie Coordinator to reserve a booth sale location in ABC Smart Cookies. Please get approval from your Service Unit Booth Coordinator prior to participating at new booth sale locations including but not limited to retail establishments, parents who own their own business, sporting events, at schools and churches, parks, and drive thru booths.
Please be sure that you are prepared for your cookie booth sales by having all participating adults complete the Adult Booth Sale Training and Quiz for 2025. This module is for all adults who will support the Cookie Program at a Cookie Booth Sale; that could include the Troop Cookie Coordinator, Leaders, and any parents participating in cookie sales with their girl.
Please note, there is a quiz at the end of the training and adults will need to record their name and troop number. Reports can be found on the Volunteer Resources page under the Troop Resources. Reports will be updated weekly.

February 12 Troop 1st Payment Begins (Troop Plan Book pages 29-34)
Please note: Troops should have received an email from noreply@abcsmartcookies.com with their amount due for the first payment. The troop first payment process will begin on February 12, 2025. The total amount being withdrawn is $2.34 per package for the $6 cookies and $2.79 per package for the gluten free. The total amount listed on this email takes into account credit card, Venmo, and PayPal payments received through February 02, 2025. Please refer to the troop plan book page 32 for more information.

How To Turn Off Cookie Variety for In-person Delivery
If you are out of a cookie variety and can’t get more inventory, you can turn off just the “out-of-stock” variety of cookie for in-person delivery and customers won’t see them as an option for their girl-delivered order. To do that, simply click the “off” slides next to the cookie variety, then click the Update delivery settings button and it will remove that variety from the Girl Scout delivery option. This will still allow customers to purchase the variety for direct-shipped orders. If you are able to offer that cookie to customers again, return to this section and click the “on” slider to turn that variety back on. See the Tip Sheet for mor information. This can be done for both the individual Girl Scout and Troop accounts in Digital Cookie.

The feature will be available starting 03/01/2025. See page 38 in the Troop Plan Book for more information. Please be sure to allocate sales to any girls that have sold 1000 packages or more by March 1st in order for them to qualify and be invited for the Bonus Ducks Reward Experience.

Consignment Cookies
Good news, Girl Scouts of Orange County is allowing troops to pick up more Girl Scout Cookies on consignment starting Monday! Connect with your Service Unit Cookie Manager for more information regarding consignment cookies!
Reward/recognition Order Feature
The reward feature is available now in ABC Smart Cookies. See page 38 in the Troop Plan Book for more information.
Booth Reminders
Booths are still going strong! Remind Girl Scout Parent/Caregivers that they must go through you, the Troop Cookie Coordinator to reserve a booth sale location in ABC Smart Cookies. Please reach out to your Service Unit Booth Coordinator if you need help finding and booking additional booths.
Please also be sure to cancel any booths you are not able to attend in ABC Smart Cookies 48-hours prior to the booth, to allow other troops time to book the booth location.
Damaged Product
What is considered damaged product? Damaged product is any of the following: damaged packaging, missing package from a case, empty package, or a customer return. Complete the Damaged Product Report and contact a cupboard. The Cupboard Manager will work on a date and time to exchange the damage product. This should be done now, not after the Cookie Program ends.

March 16 Girls’ Final Balance Due to Troop (Troop Plan Book page 29-33)
❏ First payment will be added to ABC Smart Cookies
❏ Remind girls of their total sales to see if they want more cookies to meet their goal especially if they are close to the next recognition level.
❏ Collect funds from parents; check for counterfeit bills
❏ Record girl payments in ABC Smart Cookies
❏ Deposit funds into Troop account RIGHT AWAY!
March 14- 19 End of Sale Processing (Troop Plan Book pages 35-39)
Cookie program ends on March 17
❏ Allocate all Cookie Share
❏ Allocate all cookies to girls
❏ Exchange damaged product with a cupboard
❏ Create/Update final recognition order AFTER all cookies have been allocated
Please Note: if you have girls, who have sold 500, 750, 850, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 4000 or 5000+ packages, remind them and their parents to check the dates of the 2024 Cookie Program Experiences on the Girl Reward flyer or in the Family Guide to determine if they can make the date of the event or need to choose the Cookie Dough alternative instead.

Troop Final Balance
GSOC will automatically withdraw the troop’s final balance due. Debits may not be reflected on bank statements for several days. Notify GSOC only if debit has not shown up by April 10.
Top Cookie Entrepreneurs – Reward Experiences Save the Dates!
Girls will receive invitations via email and in the mail soon. These are sent directly to qualifying Girl Scouts, you will not receive the invitation as Troop Cookie Coordinator. Use the link below is to save the dates listed for 2025 Cookie Program Girl Rewards.
Troops may continue to sell remaining on-hand cookie inventory through March 31, 2025, with permission from the Service Unit Cookie Manager and Booth Coordinator. Girls/Troops may sell cookies door-to-door in residential neighborhoods, at a cookie stand on their own OC property and to friends and family throughout the month of March. Anything else requires permission from the SU Booth Sale Coordinator. Cookies may NOT be sold after March 31 without special permission from GSOC.
Please note: Girls will not have access to the Digital Cookie App and will not be able to take orders or payments (credit card, Venmo, or PayPal) through Digital Cookie.
