Sell Remaining Cookie Inventory Through March 31, 2019!

With permission from the Service Unit Cookie Manager and Booth Coordinator, troops may continue to sell their remaining cookie inventory through March 31, 2019. These cookies should be allocated to girls in ABCSmartCookies for recognitions, since girls will be selling them, and final paperwork should be completed. Girls and Troops may sell cookies door-to-door in residential neighborhoods, at a cookie stand on their own OC property, and to friends and family throughout the month of March. Anything else requires permission from the SU Booth Sale Coordinator. Cookies may NOT be sold after March 31 without special permission from GSOC.

2019 Cookie Program Has Ended!

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers, parents, families, and friends who supported all of our Orange County Cookie Bosses this year during the 2019 Cookie Program! With your support, our girls were able to reach beyond their goals! The Product Sales Team is tallying up all final numbers and we will have more updates for you soon. Be on the lookout for the final top seller lists in April!

“I’ve been thinking a lot about friendship and digital devices lately. Granted, it’s because I am a college professor who is constantly catching my students on them in class. So many of the digital devices that supposedly connect us are leaving many of us, myself included, feeling a bit disconnected. I notice this as there is much less chatter amongst my students. Online relationships, though they can be enjoyable, cannot replace real, live, in-person connection. There is just something magical about being physically present with another human being.

This is where Girl Scout cookies come in. My daughter, Kate, had an impressive goal of selling 750 cookies this year to raise money for her San Francisco bridging trip. She was 16 boxes shy of meeting her goal. This is where her good friend, Zaleeya, stepped in. Since Zaleeya had already reached her goal, she supported Kate by going with her to a booth sale. Zaleeya was physically present for Kate, and helped her exceed selling 750 boxes!

I think we can all agree there is something magical about Girl Scout cookies. Beyond that, they can spawn wonderful relationships. And no, there is not – and I can’t imagine there ever will be – an app for that.”

A Message About the New Gluten-Free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie

Direct ship sales of the Gluten Free Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie are tracking significantly higher than anticipated and ABC Bakers recently notified us that the cookie is sold out on online. Due to high demand, Girl Scouts of Orange County has also sold out of the supply of any additional cookies we had available to troops. Troops who ordered the cookie in advance of the sale may still have it in their inventory.

Girl Scouts of Orange County will alert our members if we receive notice from ABC Bakers if they become available again online.

Please email with any additional questions.

How to Prepare Your Cookie Pro For Questions About Prop 65

In accordance with new regulations, which took effect in August of 2018, we are required to print California’s Proposition 65 Warning this year on cookie order cards and rewards flyers and display the warning at booth sales. The new regulations impact many California retailers, restaurants, and grocery stores.

We are confident that customers will still want to enjoy Girl Scout Cookies – a time-honored treat. If you do have customers ask about the Prop 65 warning, we have created the resource “How to prepare your Cookie Pro for questions about Prop 65” to support you and your Girl Scout with this year’s program.

Copies of the notice were sent to your Service Unit Materials Coordinator. Your Troop Cookie Coordinator can provide you with a notice for your table. A printable version is also available here. For additional guidance around Prop 65, please review our 2019 Cookie Program FAQ and Girl Scouts’ Proposition 65 FAQ.

If you have additional questions that these materials do not answer, contact us at
