What is the Cookie Program?
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a hands-on learning experience designed to help your Girl Scout develop important life skills while having fun. Through the program, she will learn goal setting, money management, and the basics of running a small business, including marketing and customer communication.
Why should your Girl Scout participate in the Cookie Program?
Through the Cookie Program, your Girl Scout is not just selling cookies—she’s unboxing her future!
She’ll build confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills while learning how to set goals, manage money, and navigate real life experiences. Every interaction with customers and collaboration with her troop helps her grow into a strong, capable, and independent young leader.
By participating, she contributes to her troop, supports her community, and gains experiences that will prepare her for success long beyond this cookie season.
Get your Girl Scout started in 3 steps!
Step 1: Register your Girl Scout
Make sure your Girl Scout is registered for the 2025-2026 Girl Scout Membership year.
Registered Girl Scouts participating in the Cookie Program will receive a Girl Scout Cookie packet with information on the 2026 Cookie Program. The packet will include important dates, Girl Scout rewards and so much more!

Step 2: Connect with your Troop Leader or Troop Cookie Coordinator (TCC)
Make sure to connect with your Troop Cookie Coordinator and attend your troop’s Cookie Family Meeting.

Step 3: Help your Girl Scout set up their Digital Cookie site

TIP: The Digital Cookie App is a great tool to use on your phone when the Cookie Program starts. Every year, you should re-download/update the app for the latest version.
How to Encourage your Girl Scout during the Cookie Program
- Talk about goals – Ask your Girl Scout what they want to achieve this Cookie Program. They may want to earn a badge, a Cookie Pin or funding a Troop adventure
- Make a plan together – Help your Girl Scout set realistic goals, map out when and where she’ll sell, and track her progress along the way.
- Practice a Cookie pitch – Role-play customer conversations so they feel confident talking about cookies, goals, and giving back. You can use this resource to help plan their Cookie Pitch.
- Stay safe and celebrate – Review safety guidelines together for both in-person and online sales, and make sure she knows how to sell smart and safely. Then cheer her on and celebrate every achievement whether it’s big or small you can always remind your Girl Scout how amazing they’re doing!
