Troop Cookie Coordinator News Volume 1 – 11/12/25
Want cookies ready on Day 1 of the Cookie Program? Place your Troop’s Initial Order in ABC Smart Cookies by 11:59 p.m. on December 15, 2025 to have cookies in hand at the very start of the program.
Troops that do not place an Initial Order will still be able to place a Planned Order through a Cookie Cupboard beginning January 29, 2026, when Cookie Cupboards open, but will not have cookies in hand before this date. Don’t miss out on the very popular first week of selling! Placing an Initial Order is the only way to guarantee cookie varieties and quantities for your sale.
November 21 and Later:
❏ Qualify for Troop Cookie Coordinator position (check off as you go)
❏ Register online for the 2025-2026 Girl Scout Membership Year
❏ Select position in MyGS and pass background screening.
❏ Ensure Troop Banking Form has been submitted.
❏ Have a Family Meeting for your Troop
❏ Complete Troop Cookie Training online located on gsLearn in your MyGS when it is available.
Connect with Service Unit Team to:
❏ Receive cookie receipt books and Troop Packet
❏ Find out Service Unit booth sale lottery day, time & location
Partner with Troop Leaders to:
❏ Create your Troop Cookie Support Team – it is highly recommended for troops to have a Cookie Team to support the troop and girls’ efforts during the cookie program.
❏ Determine if your troop is willing to take on the risk of accepting checks
❏ Help troop and girls set goals
❏ Establish Troop’s plans to attend Service Unit Booth Sale Lottery.
❏ Schedule a December family meeting
❏ Determine Troop’s Initial Cookie Order after reviewing the Initial Order Bonus requirements.
Holding a Family Meeting:
❏ Send Family Meeting invites to parents and attach a copy of the Family Guide and Parent Responsibility Form
❏ Ask Caregivers to complete the Cookie Caregiver training
❏ Give the girls a role and let them take the lead during the meeting
❏ Collect Signed Parent Responsibility Form for each girl participating
Troop Cookie Coordinator News Volume 2 – 11/19/25
Troop Cookie Coordinators can prepare for the upcoming Cookie Program by reviewing the key tasks that will help set you up for a successful season.
Remember, Troop Cookie Coordinator Training will be available in gsLearn starting November 24. If you prefer in-person or virtual training, the GSOC Product Program team will also offer select training sessions.
Please also note that Troop Initial Orders are due on December 15, 2025, so be sure to plan ahead.
And don’t forget to join us at the Cookie Kickoff on January 11, 2026 and get everyone in your troop excited for another great season!

Girl Scout Family Prep.
- Girls will receive a Cookie Program Packet in the mail in early January
- Check all Girl Scouts are listed in ABC Smart Cookies. Girl cookie sales cannot be transferred during the cookie program.
- Send Family Meeting invites to parents and attach a copy of the Family Guide and Parent Responsibility Form
- Ask Caregivers to complete the Cookie Caregiver training
- Give the girls a role and let them take the lead during the meeting
- Collect Signed Parent Responsibility Form for each girl participating

Reminder, Troop Cookie Coordinator Training is now available in gsLearn. If you prefer in-person or virtual training, the GSOC Product Program team will also offer select training sessions.
Important: It’s almost time to place the Troop Initial Cookie Order. Troop Initial Orders are due on December 15, 2025, so be sure to plan ahead. Review the Troop Initial Order flyer with your troop and discuss troop goals together.
