Want cookies ready on Day 1 of the Cookie Program? Place your Troop’s Initial Order in ABC Smart Cookies by 11:59 p.m. on December 15, 2025 to have cookies in hand at the very start of the program.  

Troops that do not place an Initial Order will still be able to place a Planned Order through a Cookie Cupboard beginning January 29, 2026, when Cookie Cupboards open, but will not have cookies in hand before this date. Don’t miss out on the very popular first week of selling! Placing an Initial Order is the only way to guarantee cookie varieties and quantities for your sale.

Qualify for Troop Cookie Coordinator position (check off as you go)
Register online for the 2025-2026 Girl Scout Membership Year
Select position in MyGS and pass background screening.
Ensure Troop Banking Form has been submitted.
Have a Family Meeting for your Troop
Complete Troop Cookie Training online located on gsLearn in your MyGS when it is available.

Establish Troop’s plans to attend Service Unit Booth Sale Lottery.
Schedule a December family meeting
Determine Troop’s Initial Cookie Order after reviewing the Initial Order Bonus requirements. 

Holding a Family Meeting:
❏ Send Family Meeting invites to parents and attach a copy of the Family Guide and Parent Responsibility Form
❏ Ask Caregivers to complete the Cookie Caregiver training
Give the girls a role and let them take the lead during the meeting
Collect Signed Parent Responsibility Form for each girl participating

Remember, Troop Cookie Coordinator Training will be available in gsLearn starting November 24. If you prefer in-person or virtual training, the GSOC Product Program team will also offer select training sessions.

  • Check all Girl Scouts are listed in ABC Smart Cookies. Girl cookie sales cannot be transferred during the cookie program. 
  • Send Family Meeting invites to parents and attach a copy of the Family Guide and Parent Responsibility Form 
    • Ask Caregivers to complete the Cookie Caregiver training   
    • Give the girls a role and let them take the lead during the meeting 
    • Collect Signed Parent Responsibility Form for each girl participating

Reminder, now is the perfect time to complete your Troop Cookie Coordinator Training. Troop Cookie Coordinators can complete their training by taking the course in gslearn or attending a in-person or live virtual training.  

Starting this week, Troop Cookie Coordinators can submit their Troop’s Initial Cookie Order. Information and instructions on submitting the Troop Initial Order can be found in the Troop Plan Book on page 13-15. 

Important: Troop Initial Orders are due on December 15, 2025, so be sure to plan ahead. 

Troops that meet the Initial Order Bonus requirements have the opportunity to earn proceeds, a newly designed GSOC shirt with the choice of 2 Supermix brand patches, access to Case Exchange Day, and even 24 early access to the ABC Smart Cookie Booth Scheduler.

How to enter your Troop’s Initial Order
Troops placing an Initial Order can enter their orders in ABC Smart Cookies. It’s important to note that Initial orders are entered by case (12 pacages if cookies = 1 case). Instructions for this process are in your Troop Plan Book on page 14. You can also find instructions on how to print your Initial Order report which is great to keep on hand for distribution. 

Troops that meet the Initial Order Bonus requirements have the opportunity to earn proceeds, a newly designed GSOC shirt with the choice of 2 Supermix brand patches, access to Case Exchange Day, and even 24 early access to the ABC Smart Cookie Booth Scheduler.

What happens if your Troop doesn’t place an Initial Order?
If your troop does not submit an Initial Order, you will still be able to pick up cookies from a Cookie Cupboard beginning January 29, 2026. Please note that cupboards restock based on availability, so specific varieties or quantities may not be guaranteed.  Submitting an Initial Order ensures your troop starts the first and often busiest week of selling fully stocked and ready to go!

Didn’t place an Initial Order? Don’t worry, your troop can place a “Planned Order” with a local Cookie Cupboard near them. Check out pages 20-23 in the Troop Plan Book to learn more on how to place Planned Orders.

VIP
For Troops that placed and Initial Order of 250 or more cookie cases and are attending the GSOC Mega Delivery event, get ready! These troops will have the opportunity to be invited to pickup their cases prior to the event. 

The GSOC Product Program team will contact troops who have earned this via email with more information in the new year.

Now is the time to put everything from your family meetings to setting your troop goals into place. Get ready to have a great Cookie Program with your troop! 

Digital Cookie
The pre-order period has begun, is your Troop registered in Digital Cookie? Did you set the Troop Link Site to be published? No need to fret, you can register and go live with your troop link now up until the end of the Cookie Program. Check out the following resources on how to get your troop started in Digital Cookie. 

Initial Order
Did your troop place an Initial Order? Get ready to pick it up at your Service Unit’s own distribution or GSOC’s Mega Delivery on January 24, 2026.  

Didn’t place an Initial Order? Don’t worry, your troop can place a “Planned Order” with their local Cookie Cupboard. Check out pages 20-23 in the Troop Plan Book to learn more on how to place Planned Orders.

Troops that earned the VIP Cookie Pickup have been reached out to with instructions and opportunities to pick up their Cookies prior to Distribution. 

Cookie Chats

Mega Delivery Information 

Important information for you and the drivers who are assisting you with Cookie pick-up and your walker/counter and loader volunteers for this Saturday’s mega delivery at Wild Rivers in Irvine.

MUST READ Troop Instructions & print dashboard sign for each vehicles helping with cookie pick-up!  Follow the directions on the Mega Pick-up map to enter and exit the mega delivery. If you use the wrong entrance or come the wrong direction, you will not be able to get into line.

Please make sure all vehicles are ready (seats are down, unnecessary items removed, etc.) to receive cookies BEFORE arriving at the mega delivery. Coming prepared will allow for a quicker pick-up.

Please remind your troop volunteers (loaders, walker/counter) who are coming in a separate car not being used to pick-up cookies, to follow the directions of the staff as to where to park when they arrive at the mega delivery. They should display the Troop Helper Dashboard Sign on their dashboard prior to entering the mega locations, and to arrive at the same time as their troop.

Please note, the Troop Helper Dashboard Sign is for troop vehicles carrying troop’s loader/counter volunteers only and not being loaded with cookies.  Cars being loaded with cookies should use the Troop dashboard sign.

January 25 Girl Delivery begins 

  • Girls may begin distributing cookies and starting on January 25th 

January 28 Cookie Cupboards Open 

  • Place a Planned Order in ABC Smart Cookies for additional product as needed.   

Please note:  The number of planned orders cupboards can accept and fulfill in a day will be limited for the health and safety of all volunteers.  The “preferred” date and timeframe you choose when placing your planned order are not guaranteed.  Wait for a confirmation from the cupboard manager that will include the confirmed date and time to pick-up your troop’s order. 

Mega Shortages – Troops should email their nearest cupboard to arrange a date and time to pick-up what they are missing as soon as possible.  Include “Mega Shortage”, Service Unit and Troop #” in the subject line and what they were missing (variety and # of cases) in the body of the email.

Mega Overages – If your troops picked up more cookies than they ordered at the mega, they have two options:

    • If your troop wants to keep the extra cookies: email customercare@girlscoutsoc.org, put “Mega Overage” in the subject line and the variety and # of extra cases received.  Council will make the transfer in ABC Smart Cookies.
    • If your troop wants to return the extra cookies: email your nearest cupboard, put “Mega Overage” in the subject line and the variety and # of extra cases received.  The Cupboard Manager will arrange a date and time for the cookies to be dropped off.

January 29 Cookie Cupboards Open (Troop Plan Book pages 20-23)

Place a Planned Order in ABC Smart Cookies for additional product as needed. See Cupboard Listing on the Volunteer Resource Page.

Cupboard Reminders:

    • The “preferred” date and timeframe you choose when placing your planned order are not guaranteed. Wait for a confirmation from the cupboard manager that will include the confirmed date and time to pick-up your troop’s order.
    • Please note: Do NOT change a planned order after it has been entered into ABC Smart Cookies.  The Cupboard Managers will never see the changes and will only hand out the product that is listed on the confirmation you received from the Cupboard.  Place a new planned order if you need additional cookies.  The cupboard managers will combine the orders, when possible, to eliminate an extra pickup for your TCC.  If you need less, let the Cupboard Manager know by replying to the cupboard confirmation.
    • Planned orders are placed by the CASE.
    • Ensure your Troop Cookie Coordinator’s information is listed on the Troop Information page in ABC Smart Cookies. This information is used to send order pick-up confirmations by the Cookie Cupboard Managers.
    • Troops cannot pick-up their planned orders until they receive a confirmation email from a Cookie Cupboard. Confirmations from the Cookie Cupboards will be sent within 24-48 hours of your pickup time.

Damaged Product

What is considered damage product?  Damage product is any of the following: damaged packaging, missing package from a case, empty package, or a customer return.  Complete the Damaged Product Report and contact a cupboard.  The Cupboard Manager will work on a date and time to exchange the damaged product.

Cookie Chats
Join the Product Program Team for virtual Cookie Chats. Cookie Chats are scheduled in time with specific tasks that a Troop Cookie Coordinator will do in their role. View Cookie Chats for the schedule and sign up today.

February 7 Booth Sales Begin
Booth Sales begin this Friday! Please be sure that you are prepared for your cookie booth sales by havining all participating adults complete the Adult Booth Sale Training Quiz for this Cookie Program. This training is for all adults who will participate in supporting Girl Scouts at Cookie Booths. 

Booth Reminders: 

    • Booth Sale etiquette is key. Feel free to share on booth etiquette with your troop and any tips you may have. 
    • All booths must be entered into the ABC Smart Booth Scheduler. Have a booth location? Contact your Service Unit Booth Sale Coordinator to collaborate. 
    • Some cities require city permits. Service Unit Booth Sale Coordinators can help you locate those permits and more resources to help make your booths a success.

Booth Reminders
Please remind Girl Scout Parent/Caregivers that they must go through the Service Unit Booth Sale Coordinator to schedule and participate at a booth site. Approval is required from your Service Unit Booth Sale Coordinator prior to participating at new booth sale locations including but not limited to retail establishments, parents who own their own business, sporting events, at schools and churches, parks, and drive thru booths. Please remind troops that you, the Troop Cookie Coordinator will support the troop by reserving available booth sale locations in ABC Smart Cookies. 

Please be sure that you are prepared for your cookie booth sales by having all participating adults complete the Adult Booth Sale Training and Quiz (available in English and Spanish). This module is for all adults who will support the Cookie Program at a Cookie Booth Sale; this includes the Troop Cookie Coordinator, Leaders, and any parents participating in cookie sales with their girl.   

Please note, there is a quiz at the end of the training and adults will need to record their name and troop number. Reports can be found on the Volunteer Resources page under the Troop Resources. Reports will be updated weekly.

Damaged Product  

What is considered damage product?  Damage product is any of the following: damaged packaging, missing package from a case or an empty package.  Complete the Damaged Product Report and contact a cupboard.  The Cupboard Manager will work on a date and time to exchange the damage product.
