In preparation for our sale, we want to acknowledge news you may have heard about several Girl Scout councils who are contracted with Little Brownie Bakers that may delay the start of their cookie sale. This will not be the case with Girl Scouts of Orange County’s cookie program. We are in regular contact with our baker—ABC Bakers—who has assured us that their planning and preparations are putting us in great shape for a successful sale. We have also heard from our volunteers that there is some concern that our baker will provide cookie inventory to Little Brownie Bakers. Again, we have been assured by our baker that this will not happen. Lastly, as we have shared previously, there is new packaging for Carmel Delights this year. As the baker uses up the existing packaging, it will begin to ship Carmel Delights in the new packaging, which means you may see two types of packaging this year.
At GSOC, we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure that girls meet their cookie program goals. Accordingly, we plan on placing our largest ever up-front cookie order to make certain our inventory is as robust as possible, from the start. Our focus moving forward is to maintain communication with ABC Bakers and you—our dedicated volunteers—to be sure we have as smooth a cookie program as possible.
